One by one the bricks pile on; ignored, broken passion, trust undone
Slowly a wall is built, that could be brought down
But instead of healing, the bricks build walls high above the ground
Heartbreak, drowning, stealing my voice
I scream louder, but from behind the bricks you hear no noise
Bricks of silence built a comfort in which my heart resides
Slowly I begin to tear them down, sending brokenness tumbling down
Healing, hoping, seeking love
Pushing myself to rise above the broken
