Love is Safe.
Last night I had an experience that brought these words to me in my mind and soul.
As I continue to think about this and process what these words mean in my life, I realize that many of us have not been told or shown that Love is Safe.
Love is not control, or manipulation. It is not a wager we can use to validate ourselves. Pure, honest, raw love is safe. Love is so much more than a feeling. Love is meant to be experienced unconditionally. Yet we put conditions on our love for others, and even worse our love for our self. Love is not hurt, it is not pain, it is not a twisted emotion to gain something from someone. Love does not always need to be sought after or given to feel it. Love truly comes from within. Love is safe. Today I encourage you to say these words out loud to yourself. It might hit you deep like it did with me, but healing begins with self-honesty. Let the healing begin in you. LOVE IS SAFE
